A somewhat accidental singer-songwriter residing in the seaside village of Kommetjie, in Cape Town, South Africa!  Whilst known for piano playing from the young age of 6, Mel Malisch picked up the guitar at the age of 27 and started her song-writing journey just a few years later after the tragic loss of a loved one... the result of this channeled energy has seen her latest singles play-listed on local radio stations, and her performance tally sky rocket.

Influenced by the emergence of grunge style indie-folk music during the 90's,

she has a natural ear for musical arrangements and infectious melodies. Her unique singing voice and music style has been described as "authentic" and "personal".  Her music is available on all major streaming platforms.
